Member Expectations

Drunken Dragons is a guild that focuses on clearing endgame content. While not "hardcore," we strive for well-executed, disciplined raids in order to progress. Mindless banter may be heard during trash pulls, but be prepared to focus on boss fights. Friends and family who do not intend to raid are also welcome members of the guild and represent our commitment to maintaining a friendly atmosphere.

The Head of the Beast

The guild master and the officers are regular raiders who have additional responsibilities to ensure the guild runs smoothly. In addition to the described roles, officers can always be looked to, to help with in-game questions or disputes. The officers greatly desire to hear input and feedback from members; we're here to serve our guild.
Guild Master: Othiniel - The Diplomatic
The guild master will be responsible for leading most raids, mediating in-game disputes, and recruiting.
Secretary: Tawnee - The Gentle
The secretary is responsible for maintaining guild assets, keeping track of loot and attendance, maintaining news on the website, and assisting the techie with moderating the forums.
Tech Support: Siriusblack - The Conservative
The techie is responsible for technical issues, including maintaining vent and the website. He can also assist with game-related computer problems (and others if you ask nicely).
Morale Officer: Shayila - The Understanding
The morale officer will assist with mediating in-game conflicts, as well as help with recruiting and interviewing new members.
Raid Assistant: Epicphail - The Undefined
The raid assistant will help lead raids and conduct events when the guild master is unavailable. He will also monitor raid performance to ensure that all members are playing their part.

Maturity

In this guild, the members expect a certain level of emotional maturity from each other.
1) Whatever it happens to be: keep it out of vent. There is no excuse for inappropriate behavior on vent. Be prepared to be globally muted or kicked from vent if things get out of hand.
2) Whatever it happens to be: keep it out of guild chat. Members that are behaving inappropriately will be demoted to the Slurring Drunk rank.
3) Do not suffer in silence. Bring issues to the officers. They are real people and want to help.
4) If you have a problem with an officer, talk to a different one.
5) Be respectful to others, both guild members and other players on the server. Remember, all members represent the guild.

Raid Attendance

Raiders are expected to attend at least 2 out of 3 raids per week. Over the course of the month this totals to 66% of guild runs. Raiders who fail to meet this expectation will be demoted to casual member status. Initiates who fall short of this requirement will be removed.

Be Prepared

Have gear 100% repaired, have an ample amount of class reagents, and have the required addons. The officers will do a check at the beginning of the raids for these things and any unprepared member will be replaced. Being prepared also includes knowing boss strategies for the content that the guild has already cleared. A good source for boss strategies can be found at TankSpot.com

Waitlist

When raid invites go out, all members online who did not get into the raid are waitlisted. If a member logs on after invites, it is their responsibility to contact an officer (the Secretary is best) and ask to be put on the waitlist. Members on the waitlist will be credited as attending the raid. All people on the waitlist must be accessible and ready for an invite if they are needed. If the member is called upon to raid and is unresponsive, they lose attendance credit for that raid.

AFKs

Breaks are occasionally called during a raid. When the break begins, a timer will appear with the remaining time until the break is over. Members are expected to be back before the timer ends so that the raid may continue.
If a member needs to AFK sometime other than a called break, it is their responsibility to let the raid leader and the raid know. Please do not just leave. This leaves 9 or 24 other people waiting. If the AFK is going to be longer than 10 minutes, let the raid leader know that a replacement should be found. If the AFK delays a boss pull, the member will be replaced with someone on the waitlist.

Loot System

The Suicide Kings system is described in detail under the Loot System article.

Guild Repairs

Guild repairs will open occasionally on progression content. Please do not ask the guild master or the officers to do this. Repairs will be opened at the GM's and officers' discretion.

Addons

The following addons are required for all raiding members:
Omen
Deadly Boss Mods
oRA2
Ventrilo
If a raider does not have these, they will be replaced.

Mains and Alts

Mains are the most-played characters in the guild. They have priority for raid invites and priority on loot. Occasionally someone will want to switch his or her main. A switch may or may not occur depending on the guild's needs at the time. If there is a switch, the new main will be promoted to recruit status for at least two weeks. This is to prevent people from constantly switching mains in order to gear up multiple characters. Don't expect this to happen often.

In Conclusion

We are not recruiting characters - we are recruiting people. The characters that those people build and how they build them are more or less irrelevant compared to having an earnest desire to progress and a group mentality. If you have the desire, the rest will come.
